Cardiac Testing

Electrocardiogram:

Often abbreviated as EKG or ECG, this simple, painless test records the heart's electrical activity. Electrical impulses or “waves” cause the heart muscle to squeeze and pump blood. By tracking these impulses, we can determine heartbeat irregularities and if any part of your heart is abnormal or overworked.

Event Monitor:

Abnormal heart rhythms and cardiac symptoms tend to come and go. We may recommend you wear this medical device to monitor your heart’s electrical activity for specific periods of time, during normal daily activities outside of our office.

Holter Monitoring:

This portable electrocardiogram records your heart’s electrical activity for longer periods of time than an Event Monitor. With this device, your doctor should be able to determine why you are having certain oxygen related symptoms or if your medications are working properly.

Lipid Management:

Control your lipid levels and reduce your risk for heart disease with our lipid management program that monitors good (HDL) and bad (LDL) cholesterol as well as triglycerides, a type of fat in your blood.
